Journeys Celebration
Celebratory advertisement in Footwear News for Journeys Shoes and their 25th anniversary celebration.
In 2011, Journeys Celebrated 25 years of excellence in the shoe market. Women's Wear Daily recognized the achievement with a multi-story feature in the November issue of Footwear News. Virid inserted this full-page advertisement to wish Journeys a happy birthday and to develop a stronger reputation with the footwear industry.
It was visually styled as an extension of Virid's advertising campaign at the time, but softened the language making it appropriate for a birthday celebration. It featured original work from our 7 years together toward the bottom which also showed a visual evolution of the brand and its positioing online.
I was responsible for the concept, copywriting, photography, design, and production. The illustration was by the extraordinary Alex Lakas.
